Employee Authorizations

User authorizations are used to determine what permissions an employee has within the software. An authorization defines a group of actions that an employee can do.  Below are a list of authorizations and actions and what they allow.

Authorizations

By default a system will have the below authorizations defined.  Any given authorization may also have additional actions assigned to it.

Accounting
Allows users to view accounting reports that span longer than 48 hours and that are 7 days old. Users who don't have this role will only be able to view accounting information within the last 7 days with no more than a span of 2 days.

Accounting - Global
Allows users to view accounting information for all facilities.

Customer Credit
Allows an employee to checkout and enter a payment amount different than what the cart total reflects. If you do not have Customer Credit authority you do not see the Partial Payment box at the bottom of the Checkout Screen.

Employee Management
Contains the employee management action.

Facility Management
Create seasons and leagues
Issue team credits
Delete events created by other users
Can bypass Membership prompt in shopping cart

Legal
Allows administration of waivers

Normal User - The default authorization assigned to any new employee
Allows basic functions such as team creation and use of the shopping cart.

Product Managment
Manage/create products

Reversals - Global
Allows users to do reversals of invoices that were invoiced more than 24 hours ago.

Super User
Allows high privileged functions such as authorization management.

Actions

Each authorization can contain a set of actions that users with that authorization can perform. For example, a "Super User" authorization might contain the Employee Management action.  Below are the current list of defined actions within Sports-IT.

Administrative
Authorization Management - Ability to assign any authorization to any user
Employee Management - Ability to create users but only assign them the authorizations they have
Product Management - Ability to create and edit products
Waiver Management - Ability to create and edit waivers

Customer
Broadcast Email - Ability to send out a broadcast email
Customer Search Export - Action to export the customer search report to Excel

Payments
Cash Register - Access to the cash register
Shopping Cart - Ability to use the shopping cart

Reports
Customer Search Report - Ability to run the customer search report

Scheduling
Calendar View - Access to view the calendar
Event Edit - Ability to edit an event
Game sheet View - Ability to view and enter scores on game sheets

Team
Team Builder - Allow access to Team Builder
Team Create - Ability to create teams
Team Edit - Ability to edit teams
Team View - Ability to view teams

Views
Limited Menu - User will be presented with a very stripped down menu in Sports-IT.
